Alex Carpenter is an American professional ice hockey forward recognized as one of the most skilled and consistent players in the sport. Growing up in North Reading, Massachusetts, she quickly rose through the ranks, becoming a standout at Boston College. There, she captured the Patty Kazmaier Memorial Award in 2015 as the top player in NCAA women’s hockey and set several school scoring records. Her collegiate success established her as a premier offensive force with exceptional vision, skating, and finishing ability.

Carpenter has been a major presence in the Professional Women’s Hockey League. A cornerstone signing for New York, she immediately became one of the league’s top point producers, earning First Team All-Star recognition and finalist nominations for both Forward of the Year and the Billie Jean King MVP award. In 2025, she signed with PWHL Seattle, bringing leadership, experience, and elite scoring talent to the league’s newest franchise.

Internationally, Carpenter has been a key member of Team USA for over a decade. She has competed in multiple Winter Olympics, earning silver medals in 2014 and 2022, and has contributed to numerous IIHF Women’s World Championship teams, winning multiple golds.
