Brooke Hobson -
Brooke Hobson is a Canadian professional ice hockey defenseman from Prince Albert, Saskatchewan. She played five seasons for the Northeastern Huskies from 2017 to 2022, recording 98 points (21 goals, 77 assists) over 170 games. Hobson served as alternate captain in her junior season and captain in her final two seasons, helping the Huskies capture multiple conference championships and make deep postseason runs. She earned repeated recognition as one of the top defenders in her conference, showcasing her ability to contribute both offensively and defensively.
After college, Hobson began her professional career overseas with MoDo Hockey Dam in Sweden’s SDHL during the 2022–23 season, tallying 20 points in 32 games. Her strong performance earned her a selection in the inaugural PWHL Draft. She signed with the New York Sirens for the league’s first two seasons, appearing in nearly every game, before joining the Ottawa Charge for the 2025–26 season. Known as a defensive-zone anchor, Hobson combines strong positional play with the ability to move the puck and contribute offensively.
Internationally, Hobson represented Canada with the U‑18 women’s national program, helping the team win a silver medal at the 2017 IIHF U18 Women’s World Championship. Her success at the youth international level helped pave the way for her professional career and established her as a promising player in Canada’s hockey system.
