Claire Dalton -
Claire Dalton is a Canadian ice hockey forward from Etobicoke, Ontario, currently signed with the Toronto Sceptres in the Professional Women's Hockey League (PWHL). She began her pro career after being selected 67th overall in the PWHL’s inaugural draft by PWHL Montréal. Known for her size, shot, and offensive upside, she quickly made an impact at the professional level.
Dalton played her college hockey at Yale Bulldogs, where she starred over five seasons. She finished her NCAA career with 133 points in 130 games—averaging slightly over a point per game—and left as Yale’s all-time leader in assists. In her final season she served as team captain and helped guide her squad during an historic campaign.
In the PWHL, Dalton made memorable contributions early: she scored Montréal’s first-ever PWHL goal in franchise history, and in February 2024 she recorded a hat trick to power a 6–3 win over Ottawa — her first such feat in pro hockey. As of June 2025, she signed a one‑year contract with the Toronto Sceptres, marking the next chapter of her pro career. Internationally, she represented Canada’s U‑18 national team — including a bronze‑medal performance at the 2018 IIHF U18 Women’s World Championship — and has been invited to senior national‑team camps, underscoring her potential at the highest levels.
