Emma Maltais is a Canadian ice hockey forward from Burlington, Ontario, who plays professionally for the Toronto Sceptres in the Professional Women's Hockey League (PWHL). She was drafted 11th overall in the inaugural 2023 PWHL Draft and subsequently signed a three‑year contract with Toronto, marking the beginning of her pro career at the highest domestic women’s league level. In her rookie PWHL season, she quickly made a name for herself, finishing among the top scoring rookies in the league and earning a nomination as a finalist for PWHL Rookie of the Year.

Before turning professional, Maltais had a standout collegiate career at Ohio State Buckeyes (NCAA). Over five seasons she accumulated 206 points (66 goals, 140 assists) in 169 games — making her one of the most productive forwards in the program’s history.
