Jaime Bourbonnais -

Jaime Bourbonnais is a Canadian ice hockey defenseman from Mississauga, Ontario, currently playing for the New York Sirens in the Professional Women's Hockey League (PWHL). She was selected 9th overall in the league’s inaugural 2023 draft and signed a multi‑year contract with New York. Since joining the Sirens, she has appeared in all games and established herself as a steady, top‑pairing blueliner — contributing both defensively and offensively, with several goals and assists from the blue line.

Before turning pro, Bourbonnais had a distinguished collegiate career at Cornell Big Red. Over her four years there, she accumulated high point totals for a defender and earned numerous honors: she was named to ECAC All‑Rookie and All‑Conference teams, twice honored as ECAC’s Best Defenseman, and as a senior earned First‑Team All‑America recognition. Her strong two‑way play, ability to quarterback power plays, and consistency made her one of the top defenders in NCAA women’s hockey during her tenure.

Internationally, Bourbonnais has been a regular presence on the senior Canada women's national ice hockey team. She earned a silver medal at the 2016 U‑18 Women’s World Championship and later contributed to Canada’s medal-winning performances at multiple IIHF Women’s World Championships (gold, silver, and bronze). Her blend of strong defensive play, puck‑moving ability, and international experience continues to make her a key part of both her professional club and national team.
