Katy Knoll -
Katy Knoll is an American ice hockey forward from Amherst, New York, currently playing professionally for the Minnesota Frost in the Professional Women's Hockey League (PWHL). She developed her game through prep hockey at Nichols School, then advanced to the NCAA level with the Northeastern Huskies. Across five seasons in college, she played 177 games and totaled 131 points (61 goals, 70 assists), leaving as one of the most productive forwards in program history. Her knack for clutch performances was evident — she ranked among Northeastern’s leaders for game‑winning goals and frequently stepped up in big moments.
Knoll was selected 39th overall (7th round) in the 2024 PWHL Draft by Minnesota. In her rookie PWHL season she appeared in 21 regular‑season games, contributing modestly offensively, but truly elevated her impact in the playoffs. In eight postseason contests she tallied five points (2 goals, 3 assists), including a dramatic triple‑overtime game‑winner in Game 3 of the PWHL Finals that propelled the Frost toward capturing the championship. Her playoff performance earned her a new one‑year contract for the 2025–26 season — a sign of the organization’s faith in her continued growth.
On the international stage, Knoll represented the United States as part of the U18 national program. She won a gold medal at the 2018 U18 Women’s World Championship and followed that up with a silver medal in the 2019 edition. Her early success for Team USA laid the foundation for a promising pro career. As a young forward combining skill, determination, and the ability to deliver under pressure, Knoll is widely regarded as one of the rising talents in women’s hockey.
