Maggie Connors -

Maggie Connors is a Canadian ice‑hockey forward from St. John’s, Newfoundland and Labrador. She came up playing youth hockey, including boys’ leagues, and later developed her game at elite prep and collegiate levels. She played four seasons at Princeton Tigers (NCAA), where she compiled 145 career points with 78 goals and 67 assists — placing her among the top scorers in program history. Her speed, vision, and offensive creativity made her a standout forward in college hockey.

Connors entered the professional ranks when she was selected by Toronto Sceptres in the 2023 inaugural draft of the Professional Women's Hockey League (PWHL). As the only player from Newfoundland and Labrador on a PWHL roster that season, she represented her province with pride. In her rookie season she appeared in 24 regular‑season games and made contributions in the playoffs. The Sceptres re‑signed her for the 2025‑26 season, signalling their confidence in her ongoing development and growing role on the team.

On the international stage, Connors has represented Canada women's national ice hockey team at various levels. She won a bronze medal with Canada at the 2018 U18 Women’s World Championship. More recently, she earned a roster spot on the senior national team in the 2023‑24 season for the Rivalry Series — a milestone moment as she got to skate alongside some of her childhood idols. Her journey from St. John’s to pro hockey serves as inspiration for young players from underrepresented regions.
