She served as captain during her final season, establishing herself as a respected leader and core contributor on and off the ice.
In the 2024 PWHL Draft, she was selected 26th overall by Ottawa. In her rookie season (2024–25), McMahon appeared in all 30 regular‑season games, tallying four goals and four assists, and added a goal during the playoffs. Early in the season she scored the first goal at Ottawa’s home arena and later delivered a game‑winning goal in the semifinals, underscoring her ability to step up in critical moments.
On the national stage, McMahon earned her first senior call‑up for the U.S. national team in the 2024–25 season and participated in the Rivalry Series against Canada, marking a promising start to her international ambitions. With her combination of reliability, competitiveness, and youthful upside, she is widely regarded as a rising player to watch as she continues to develop in the PWHL.
