Maureen Murphy -

Maureen Murphy is an American ice‑hockey forward from Buffalo, New York. She developed through elite youth hockey — including time at the renowned program Shattuck‑St. Mary's — where she led the team in scoring before heading to college. She played NCAA hockey first at Providence Friars and later transferred to Northeastern Huskies. During her college career she emerged as one of the most productive forwards in her conferences, known for scoring, playmaking, and clutch offensive production.

When the Professional Women's Hockey League (PWHL) began, Murphy was selected 18th overall by Montreal Victoire and signed a three‑year contract. In her rookie season she made an immediate impact: she contributed both goals and assists, and even scored a memorable overtime winner in front of a record‑breaking crowd — a highlight in her first pro campaign. Off the ice, she was honored with the league’s “Hockey For All” award, in recognition of her volunteer work and positive community impact around Montréal.

Internationally, Murphy has worn the red, white, and blue of United States women's national ice hockey team. As a junior, she helped Team USA win a gold medal at the 2017 U18 Women’s World Championship. Her blend of skill, grit, and strong community‑minded values makes her a rising star in women’s professional hockey.
